The Supporto chair is an iconic task chair designed by legendary British designer Fred Scott. Scott began work on the chair in 1976 and it went into production with furniture manufacturer Hille in 1980. It immediately won national and international acclaim. It was the first office chair to be designed to truly ergonomic principles. Fred Scott himself described it as 'an office chair designed to cut through the hierarchy of the office'. In 1991 the Supporto chair was voted 'the chair that most influenced modern office seating' by The International Federation of Architects. The Supporto chair is reportedly one of only three items to be found in iPhone designer Jonathan Ive's personal office, along with a desk and a lamp.

The chair features a polished, dye-cast aluminium seat pan, back and five star base upholstered in black leather. Castors can be specified depending on floor types or can be replaced by glides.
